by faeze mohammadi

At an international webinar titled “Muslim Women”, a Tunisian academic emphasized Iran’s role as a leading defender of human dignity, Muslims, and oppressed people worldwide.

According to the event organizers, Mona Al-Bazawi, a university professor and poet from Tunisia, stated that Iran has become a symbol of resistance and support for the oppressed, despite decades of sanctions and external pressure.

She praised the Iranian people for their resilience, describing the country as “the last stronghold” defending the rights of oppressed nations using its own internal capabilities.

Al-Bazawi strongly condemned attacks on civilians, particularly women and children, calling them clear violations of international human rights laws. She pointed to incidents targeting schools and hospitals, describing them as evidence of what she called “inhuman aggression.”

The Tunisian speaker also highlighted the broader regional context, stating that violence against children is not limited to one country but has affected places such as Gaza, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. She urged greater unity among Muslim nations and called for collective support for Iran.

In her remarks, she stressed that history would remember both the injustices committed and the resistance shown. She described resistance as a path toward dignity and honor, asserting that sacrifices made today would shape future victories.

Al-Bazawi concluded by honoring victims of recent attacks, particularly children, and called for global awareness and solidarity in the face of ongoing humanitarian crises.

The webinar was organized with participation from international figures and focused on the impact of war on women and children, especially in conflict zones.
