The wife of martyr Commander Mohammadreza Amirkhani, with tearful eyes yet a tranquil heart, recounts the day her husband ascended to the heavens during battle against the Zionist regime’s drones.
She prostrated in the hospital, placing her forehead on the ground in thanksgiving for her husband’s martyrdom, stating, “Martyrdom is a trader’s death; a profit only lovers can attain” .
On their wedding day, the bride and groom prioritized participating in a revolutionary procession over festive preparations. Despite repeated calls urging them to return to their celebration, they proudly declared that the revolution’s commemoration was more important, vowing to attend their wedding festivities afterward.
When Mohammadreza’s proposal reached Farzaneh —a Basij member actively engaged in cultural and revolutionary defense efforts—she asked only one question: “Does he too defend the Islamic Revolution’s ideals?” Mohammadreza confidently replied, “I am a Guardian and will always uphold the Revolution’s and Islam’s principles.” They exchanged vows of eternal love on 22 Bahman—the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution—placing 72 Azadi coins as her dowry in honor of Karbala’s martyrs.

Farzaneh, who was the wife of a Pasdar until the 30th of Khordad, became the spouse of martyr Mohammadreza Amirkhani from the next day onward. As a Pasdar, Mohammadreza sacrificed his life defending his homeland and faith, joining the ranks of the martyrs. Meeting Farzaneh and her children, 4-year-old Kosar and 10-year-old Taha, their late father’s presence lingered in the air. Farzaneh recalls his devotion to timely prayers and his support in household matters, adding with pride, “Mohammadreza always sought martyrdom; hearing news of Gaza’s plight would ignite his fury.”
Recalling their final meeting, she notes the Quranic verse (Hirz-e Imam Jawad) tied to his arm and the Quran handed to her daughter: “He was anxious, perhaps knowing it was our last farewell.” Emphasizing that martyrs’ spouses never become enemies’ allies, she declares, “His martyrdom is an honor; I admire that he never fled the battlefield.”
The funeral ceremony, attended by thousands, honored Mohammadreza’s sacrifice. His mother, Safureh Jafari, proudly stated, “I choose martyrdom over a life of humiliation.” Continuing her activism through the Jihadi group Followers of Ali (AS), Farzaneh draws inspiration from her husband’s legacy, concluding with a rallying cry: “Strike these words and videos with anger and hatred against criminal Israel!”
