Women, Epic Courage, and Compassion

Amid Iran’s turbulent and emotionally charged days and nights, a remarkable image has emerged: the visible presence of women. This presence embodies both the dignity of faith and modesty, as well as profound compassion and extraordinary resilience. What message does this prominent role convey?

The Manifestation of Modesty and Insight in Times of Crisis

Throughout history, deception has often sought to project exaggerated and false images of reality. Yet across Iran today, a different and inspiring reality can be seen: large numbers of women, particularly young women and girls, who, inspired by their leadership and committed to the ideals of the Revolution, have embraced their chadors as symbols of identity, conviction, and awareness.

This widespread presence—one that has surprised many observers—carries a clear message. The woman who chooses the chador is not driven by display or self-promotion. Rather, she is a central pillar of her family and a purposeful planner of her life. Recreation, shopping, and daily activities are defined within the framework of her responsibilities and values, while she remains focused on what truly matters rather than distractions and superficialities.

Those Who Declare Their Devotion to the Revolution

Alongside this expression of modesty stands another group of women whose presence is equally heartfelt. They may not wear the chador, yet their commitment to the Revolution and its cause is no less sincere.

As wise leaders and revered martyrs have often emphasized, these women are among the “daughters of the Revolution” and the honorable women of this land. Today, they have stepped forward to openly express their loyalty, affection, and solidarity with the Revolution’s ideals, speaking from the depths of their hearts and convictions.

Womanhood: The Source of Compassion and the Power to Create Epic Moments

Womanhood is a divine gift, rich with deep emotions and extraordinary sensitivity. When called upon, that emotional strength can become a powerful force—one that roars, rises, and creates history.

It is this strength that enables the mother of a martyr to endure the loss of her children while remaining steadfast in defense of her faith and beliefs. Women, endowed with compassion and a sacred sense of mercy, undertake great responsibilities: from caregiving and nursing to cooking, supporting communities, and, when necessary, even taking up arms.

In times of crisis, they stand ready for everyone—as caring mothers and devoted sisters. Carrying the burden of sorrow, they share in the grief of others and ensure that the memory of sacrifice and loss is never forgotten.

Another remarkable quality of women is their power of expression. Inspired by the eloquence and courage exemplified by revered female figures in Islamic history, women speak and write with beauty and conviction. They are often among the most active participants in religious gatherings and community life. In moments of hardship, the lessons they have learned become a powerful current of emotion that inspires collective courage and resilience.

Women deserve respect and honor, for they are the architects of elevated societies and the builders of a brighter future for their nation. May all the women and girls of this homeland recognize the value of their noble position and regard themselves with the dignity and respect they deserve.
