Tehran, Iran – A significant letter has been dispatched by the Vice President of Iran for Women and Family Affairs, Ms. Zahra Behrūzāzār, to her counterparts in six regional countries: Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. The correspondence addresses pressing concerns regarding the protection of families and children in the face of what Iran perceives as a concerted effort by the United States and Israel to destabilize the region and target Muslim families.
A Call for Vigilance and Solidarity
In her letter, Ms. Behrūzāzār emphasizes the shared responsibility of safeguarding the institution of family and promoting peace. She urges the officials to leverage their influence and advocacy power to prevent adversaries from exploiting their nations’ geography and resources to orphan children and bring sorrow to mothers.
The letter, as reported by the Public Relations Office of the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs, highlights Iran’s commitment to peace, friendship, and adherence to covenants. “We believe that protecting peace sometimes requires unwavering steadfastness, much like the towering presence of Mount Damavand,” Ms. Behrūzāzār stated. She further conveyed that Iranian President Dr. Peykāniān, drawing upon this cultural heritage and a firm belief in “Islamic brotherhood,” has declared that Iran does not seek conflict with its neighbors and is committed to maintaining friendly ties.
Identifying Common Adversaries and Their Tactics
Ms. Behrūzāzār identifies the United States and Israel as a common enemy, alleging their deceptive tactics aim to sow discord and incite conflict among Islamic nations. The letter points to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, citing the “killing of over 50,000 innocent children” as evidence of their disregard for human life. It further alleges that these adversaries have “unsettling dreams for our entire region” and have “attacked the heart of civilization and family” through recent incidents, including an alleged attack on a school in Minab that resulted in the reported deaths of over 160 children.
Documenting Attacks on Civilian Infrastructure
The Vice President also referenced recent attacks on civilian centers within Iran. According to official reports cited in the letter, 9,669 civilian units were damaged, including 7,943 residential and 1,617 commercial properties. The targeting of 32 medical centers, 65 schools, and 13 Red Crescent facilities, along with the casualties among medical staff and aid workers, is presented as indicative of a “malicious war” against Iranians.
A Plea Against Exploitation and Division
Ms. Behrūzāzār asserts that the scale of destruction and bloodshed demonstrates that the opposing front “recognizes no ethical or human boundaries” and aims solely to shatter the security of Muslim families. She expresses regret that “geography and resources available on your soil are being used for some of these transgressions.”
Concluding her appeal, the Vice President implored her counterparts: “As custodians of the family institution and peace, we expect you, by relying on your influence and advocacy power, not to allow enemies to misuse your geography and resources to orphan children and grieve mothers. America and Israel are not your partners, but dividers who seek to erect walls between brothers and sisters. Let us, with vigilance, prevent a sword from being wielded against a brother from a neighbor’s house, so that security and tranquility may return once more to the iftar tables and the hearts of all families of the Islamic Ummah.”
