Milan Uhrík, a Member of the European Parliament, has described the deadly attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ school in Minab as deliberate and a war crime, calling for an official investigation into the incident.
A Deliberate Act of Violence
Speaking at the “Angels of Minab” gathering held in front of the Iranian Embassy in Brussels, Uhrík said the attack may have been planned and intentional. He referenced what he described as actions carried out by Israel in Gaza and in Lebanon, including Beirut, claiming that civilians—children, women, and the elderly—have been targeted.
According to Uhrík, such actions are aimed at creating fear among the population as a tactic to secure victory in conflict.
Call for European Accountability
The Hungarian lawmaker labeled the Minab killings a war crime and urged European authorities to investigate the incident. He stressed that European countries should not be complicit in such actions.
Uhrík stated that he has sent a letter to the European Commission regarding the matter.
He criticized the European Commission and European leaders for maintaining a “double standard,” arguing that their weakness prevents them from properly investigating such atrocities. Uhrík acknowledged that European heads of state currently lack the capacity to resist the aggressive policies of the United States and Israel.
A Tragic Loss of Innocence
The attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab has emerged as one of the most heartbreaking humanitarian events of the current era. The strike, which occurred during the early hours of the 9th of Esfand 1404 (March 1, 2026), coincided with the initial stages of joint US-Israeli aggression against Iran.
The school was hit three times by missiles from Zionist-American enemy. The tragedy resulted in the deaths of 168 children, along with several teachers, school staff, and parents of students.
Many observers and activists are now calling for the preservation of the school’s ruins as a historical document and a memorial for future generations, ensuring that this unjustified crime in the age of advanced weaponry is never forgotten.
