One of these individuals is Ms. Bibifatemeh Mirjalili, a distinguished professor of chemistry at Yazd University.

Education and Career Journey
Bibifatemeh Mirjalili was born in 1968 in the Sheikhdad neighborhood of Yazd and, like other neighborhood children, continued her education in ordinary schools. In 1986, she graduated from Alzahra University with a degree in chemistry and then pursued a master’s degree in organic chemistry at Tehran Teacher Training University.
She currently holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Sharif University of Technology and has been teaching organic chemistry as a full professor at Yazd University for several years.
Dr. Mirjalili considers passion, interest, and perseverance as the keys to her success, saying, “Despite all the difficulties, I never gave up, and I am proud to serve my country and students in Iran and my city of Yazd.”
Academic Achievements
As one of the top 2% of scientists in the world in the field of chemistry, she continues, “I have over 260 international articles and research papers, and I have graduated more than 20 doctoral students so far.”
Ms. Mirjalili speaks of her love for her homeland and adds, “Although I could have continued my studies or taught abroad, I decided to stay for the sake of my country’s progress and to serve my country by improving the scientific level and educating young and talented forces.”
