War or Genocide? The Difference the World Ignores

War, in its traditional sense, involves armed conflict between two or more parties, conducted within the framework of international law even in its most brutal forms, it adheres to certain rules.

But what is happening in Gaza goes beyond any conventional definition of war. This is not war; it is a crime. A systematic genocide against a people whose only “crime” is their right to exist in their own land—occupied Palestine.

Targeted Attacks

The bombing of residential areas, hospitals, schools, and water supply networks reveals a deliberate effort to destroy the very foundations of life in Gaza. This is not a place where military mistakes happen—it is where the killing of civilians is policy.

Using Hunger and Disease as Weapons

The siege on Gaza, the blocking of humanitarian aid and medicine, and the destruction of healthcare infrastructure are all part of a calculated strategy to break resistance and, ultimately, eliminate the people of Gaza.

Imagine a mother in Gaza losing her child due to a lack of medicine, or a father forced to give his family contaminated water because clean water is inaccessible. These are not the consequences of war—they are part of a horrific plan to erase the Palestinian people and their identity.

Civilian Victims: A Toll the World Refuses to See

Over 40,000 people have been killed in Gaza so far, more than 70% of them women and children. These numbers only scratch the surface of this genocide.

  • Children as Primary Targets: Schools and refugee shelters bombed, entire families massacred in their homes, and explosives that “accidentally” hit civilians.
  • 90% of drinking water is contaminated.
  • 85% of hospitals are non-functional. Places meant to save lives have become scenes of death.
  • 70% of homes have been destroyed. Gaza is no longer a city—it has become a mass graveyard.

Global Silence: International Conspiracy or Structural Failure?

The lack of a serious response from the international community stems from a mix of political interests, economic dependencies, and moral hypocrisy.

Western nations, by supplying weapons and using their UN veto power, are complicit in these crimes.

The Moral Bankruptcy of the Media

Downplaying victims as “collateral damage,” false balance between aggressor and defender, and censoring real images of war have desensitized the world to Gaza’s suffering.

What is happening in Gaza is not just a political conflict it is a meticulously planned genocide, carried out under global silence and with international support. By ignoring this truth, the world becomes a direct accomplice in this historic crime. The only solution is to break the silence, end the siege, and hold the perpetrators accountable.
