Dr. Tahereh Kaghazchi, a prominent figure in chemical engineering, has been recognized as an exemplary professor, a continuous member of the Academy of Sciences’ Engineering Sciences Group, and one of Iran’s leading female authors and translators in the field of engineering.

Honored with the Allameh Tabataba’i Award

Dr. Kaghazchi was among 20 distinguished scientists and cultural figures honored at the Allameh Tabataba’i Award ceremony. This accolade, considered one of the highest scientific honors, was bestowed upon her in recognition of her outstanding contributions to science, research, and education. The award was presented by President Masoud Pezeshkian.

A Distinguished Career

Born in Tehran in 1325 (1946/1947), Dr. Kaghazchi is a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology and a recipient of the esteemed Allameh Tabataba’i Award. Her impressive career includes establishing the Food Industries group and launching the first Ph.D. program in Chemical Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology.

International Recognition

Beyond her national achievements, Dr. Kaghazchi is also a member of both the American Chemical Society and the Iranian Petroleum Institute. She has been recognized as one of Asia’s top female scientists, an honor bestowed upon her by the Association of Academies of Sciences and Societies in Asia.
