Championship Overview
The inaugural FIP Asia Padel Cup was held in Doha from October 17 to 24, 2025, at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. Seventeen men’s teams and fourteen women’s teams from across Asia, Oceania, and neighboring regions competed under the auspices of the International Padel Federation (FIP), Qatar Tennis Federation, and Padel Asia.
Women’s Division: Silver for Iran
Iran’s women’s squad advanced to the final after successive victories in the Final 8 phase. In the championship match, Japan defeated Iran 2-0 to take the title. Meanwhile, Indonesia claimed third place.
The Iranian women’s roster included Zahra Kahrizi, Servenaz Kamasi, Kimia Monajati Fasaei, Saba Najafi, Hanieh Sadeqi, Neda Mohammad Taghipour, and Hananeh Yaghoubzadeh, led by player-coach Sahabeh Fard with Melika Shahab as team manager.
Men’s Division: Narrowly Missing the Podium
In the men’s bracket, Iran advanced through the group stage to the semifinals. However, in the bronze medal match they were defeated by Australia and took fourth place overall.
Iran’s men’s team featured Amir Sina Saleh, Farsad Shahi, Kiarash Souri, Sajjad Zarei’an, Arsham Moradinejad, Hami Golestan, Arya Roghani, and Amir Mohammad Jamshidi. Their coaching staff was headed by Thiago Santos, assisted by Dariush Saber, Masoud Karkhaneh, Sohrab Hosseinzadeh, and team manager Mohammadreza Golzar.

Seventeen countries in the men’s event and fourteen in the women’s joined the tournament, including Iran, Japan, China, Australia, Indonesia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Oman, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.
