The arson of Al-Aqsa Mosque was not an isolated incident but rather part of a broader campaign by the Zionist regime to Judaize Jerusalem and erase its Islamic identity. Following the attack, Israeli authorities intensified their efforts to restrict access to the mosque, harass Muslim worshippers, and undermine the authority of the Islamic Waqf, the religious trust responsible for managing the site.
World Mosque Day
August 21 has since been designated as World Mosque Day, a day to commemorate mosques and raise awareness about the ongoing threats facing Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people’s right to worship freely at their holy sites.
A Call to Action: Solidarity and Justice
We must never forget the crimes committed against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the countless other acts of violence perpetrated against the Palestinian people. It is our duty to stand in solidarity with them and demand justice for the injustices they have suffered.
