Iran’s national team achieved remarkable success at the 18th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO 2025) in Ji’ning, China, earning four bronze medals. Among the medalists were three young women, showcasing the talent and dedication of Iran’s next generation of scientists.
Strong Performance in Earth Science
The Iranian team—Bardia Khalili, Parisa Sedqi, Fatemeh Hedayat Kakhaki, and Zahra Goudarzipour—competed against students from 31 countries. The Olympiad, hosted at the Ji’ning Confucius School, tested participants in geology, meteorology, environmental science, and other Earth science disciplines.
Over several days, the Iranian students demonstrated problem-solving skills, teamwork, and deep knowledge in Earth sciences. Their four bronze medals reflect months of preparation and dedication to academic excellence.
