Independent American journalist Jennifer Kings stated that Iran’s resistance against the criminal empire of the United States and “Israel” has positioned the country in a positive light for many. This has neutralized years—even decades—of negative propaganda and brainwashing against Iran and its people in the U.S.
Several journalists from around the world arrived in Tehran to participate in an event titled “Condemnation of Terrorism Against Media,” honoring media martyrs and visiting sites targeted by the Zionist regime during the 12-day war.
Introducing the International Media Morning Festival
The International Media Morning Festival launched in 2023 with the goal of bringing together international media producers and fostering constructive collaboration to create an influential movement in global media. The festival seeks to identify talented individuals in media, honor their contributions, and provide opportunities for their continued creative work, ultimately shaping a powerful and effective international media presence.
On this occasion, a correspondent from the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) conducted an exclusive interview with American journalist Jennifer Kings, who traveled to Tehran.

Exclusive Interview with Jennifer Kings
When did you first hear about the Zionist attack on Iran?
For the past 22 months, I’ve been closely following social media due to “Israel’s” extensive discriminatory campaign against Palestinians. So, I learned about the attack on the very first day. The entire world was in shock and disgust.
Israel’s Objectives from an American Journalist’s Perspective
What do you think Israel’s goal was in this attack? Did they achieve it?
I believe “Israel” has multiple objectives. The most significant is continuing its expansionist and genocidal policies in Palestine. One way to sustain this genocide is by launching attacks and inciting violence in other parts of the region—as seen in Lebanon and Yemen—and now Iran. This tactic diverts global attention from the “holocaust” currently happening in Palestine.
Secondly, they fear Iran’s capabilities and self-sufficiency. In my view, “Israel” and the U.S. are delusional, seeking to crush any form of resistance—which is another primary goal for them.
Surprise at Iran’s Missile Response
When Israel attacked Iran, did you expect such a massive missile retaliation?
I’m not entirely sure what I expected, but I can say we were all surprised and pleased because, finally, someone stood up to “Israel.” For years, we’ve watched “Israel” target defenseless people—women, children, the disabled, the elderly, and the starving in Gaza—without facing any consequences. Seeing widespread destruction in a city like Tel Aviv was truly astonishing. I think the world was both shocked and relieved; it was a moment of vindication for many, as someone finally stood against this criminal empire.
Where Do You Get Your News?
How do you follow the news, and how would you compare mainstream media to social networks?
The only way to access real news in the U.S. is through social media and international outlets because all Western media are essentially state propaganda machines.
Global Shift in Perception of Iran After the Attack on Israel
Global support for Palestine has grown significantly. In light of Iran’s attack on “Israel,” how is global public opinion assessing Iran’s stance?
At least in the U.S., and among anti-genocide movements supporting Palestine, Iran’s resistance against the criminal empires of America and Israel has placed the country in a positive light for many. This has helped counteract years—even decades—of negative propaganda and brainwashing against Iran and its people in America. I see this as very positive, proving that Iran stands on the right side of history—alongside Palestine and against the genocidal regime known as “Israel” and its U.S. backers.
Why Israel Targets Journalists
Many journalists have been martyred in Zionist attacks on Gaza, Lebanon, and other regions. Over 10 journalists in Iran were also martyred by “Israel.” Why do you think “Israel” targets journalists and restricts media?
I think the reason is obvious: they don’t want the truth to reach the world. So far, over 200 journalists have been martyred in Gaza alone because they don’t want the world to witness their crimes.
