Tehran University Women Among Top Cited Researchers: A new report highlights eighteen female researchers from the University of Tehran as being among the most highly cited scholars, nationally and internationally, earning places in prestigious global rankings like the Elsevier-Stanford list and Web of Science. Their work spans diverse fields, from science and engineering to the humanities and social sciences.

Eighteen female researchers from the University of Tehran are among the most highly cited researchers nationally and internationally.

According to a report from the Islamic World Science and Technology Monitoring and Citation (ISC) Institute, eighteen female researchers from the University of Tehran are included in the list of the most highly cited researchers nationally and internationally.

Top 2% Globally (1996-2023):

Farnoush Faridbod and Farzaneh Shemirani, faculty members of the Science Faculty, and Fereshteh Rashchi, a faculty member of the Engineering Faculty of the University of Tehran, are among the top 2% of the most highly cited researchers in the world (1996-2023) according to the Elsevier-Stanford list.

Top 1% Globally (2014-2024):

Furthermore, Zahra emam Jomeh and Maryam Salami, faculty members of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Faculty; Akram Hosseinian Serajehloo, a faculty member of the Engineering Faculty; Fatemeh Yazdian and Roghayeh Ghasempour, faculty members of the Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Faculty; and Reyhaneh Loni, a faculty member of the Governance Faculty, are among the top 1% of the most highly cited researchers in the world (2014-2024) based on data from the Web of Science (WoS).

Top 2% Internationally (2023):

In addition, Sepideh Khoee and Hediyeh Sajedi, faculty members of the Science Faculty, and Mitra Mousavi, a researcher at the Chemistry Faculty of the Science Faculty of the University of Tehran, are also among the top 2% of internationally highly cited researchers in 2023 according to Elsevier-Stanford.

Top National Researchers (2013-2022) in Humanities and Social Sciences:

This report also indicates that in the fields of humanities, social sciences, art, and architecture, Bita Mashayekhi, a faculty member of the Management Faculty; Elaheh Hejazi Moghari, Rezvan Hakimzadeh, and Narges Sadat Sajjadieh, faculty members of the Psychology and Educational Sciences Faculty; Soheila Sadeghi Fasayi, a faculty member of the Social Sciences Faculty; and Elaheh Koulai, a faculty member of the Law and Political Science Faculty, are among the most highly cited researchers nationally (2013-2022).
