A prominent Russian Iranologist couple has praised the courage and solidarity displayed by the Iranian people in the face of aggression by the Israeli regime, calling their resilience a testament to national strength and unity, and underscoring the importance of deepening Iran–Russia cooperation.
Russian Experts Praise Iran’s Bold Stance
In response to the Israeli regime’s attacks on Iran, two distinguished Russian Iranologists expressed their condolences and lauded the Iranian people’s steadfast resistance and national solidarity.
“Iran’s Unity Is Invincible,” Says Ludmila Avdiyeva
Ludmila Avdiyeva, a renowned Russian poet and author, referenced Israel’s audacious attack on Iran and the martyrdom of nuclear scientists and military commanders. She commended the bravery and national spirit of the Iranian people, affirming that such unity has solidified their defense against the adversary.
Recalling her and her husband’s time living in Iran, Avdiyeva reflected on the country’s rich culture, ancient civilization, and profound history, emphasizing, “Erasing what the Iranian people have built over thousands of years is impossible.”
She described Iran as a powerful, self-reliant nation and expressed hope that Iran–Russia collaborations—such as the North–South transport corridor—would bolster stability in the Caspian region.
With heartfelt sincerity, she continued: “With all my being, I wish stability, peace, prosperity, and tranquility for the Iranian people. Long live Iran, long live the unity of Russia and Iran. May everlasting peace prevail in Iran, and death be upon all enemies and those who prevent humanity from living peacefully on Earth.”
“Truth Always Favors Iran,” According to Gennady Avdeyev
Gennady Avdeyev, also a Russian Iranologist, spoke of his many years in Iran, lauding the Iranian people’s culture, openness, and kindness. He noted, “For centuries, the Iranian people have taught their grand culture to humanity.”
Describing the recent Israeli attack as part of an ‘evil force’ led by the United States—aimed at dominating Iran and eradicating its nuclear achievements—Avdeyev remarked, “Every time a confrontation arises between demonic Israel and peace-loving Iran, the truth always favors Iran.”
He added, “The ideals of those in the West who bring death and destruction clash with the views of those who see their mission in friendship and cooperation among nations.”
Quoting a famous verse by Saadi, inscribed at the entrance of the United Nations building, Avdeyev remarked that Iran’s culture and philosophy are a treasure for all humanity. He emphasized that the dominance of evil is a misguided path.
Avdeyev affirmed, “The Iranian people stood against aggression and won the war. They have shown their support for their leader, and the current situation is a sign of the strong friendship between Iran and Russia.”
