Jamileh Alamolhoda Emphasizes the Role of Women in Shaping Islamic Identity at National Conference.
In a speech at the National Conference on the Third Model of Muslim Women in the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution, Jamileh Alamolhoda highlighted the philosophical views of Ibn Sina, emphasizing identity as the fundamental principle of human life. She lamented the neglect of Ibn Sina’s philosophical perspectives and argued that had they been applied, the field of humanities would have seen greater progress.
Alamolhoda stressed the crucial role of women, especially mothers, in shaping the Islamic identity within families, which she believes extends across all aspects of life. She pointed to the resilience in Gaza as an example of the outcomes of this identity-building process, stating that even a child in Gaza, armed with the Quran, can become a symbol of resistance worldwide.
Discussing the “satanic” policies of fear and deception prevalent from the time of the Prophet to the present, Alamolhoda emphasized that the resistance of women in Gaza and Lebanon serves as a testament to the possibility of standing firm against these harmful policies.

She also mentioned the presence of the family of the martyr Kalbasi at the event, calling it a symbol of resistance.
Alamolhoda noted that the perseverance of women in Gaza is a direct result of the identity-building efforts of their mothers and criticized the feminist movement for reducing women to mere tools. She affirmed that Islam offers a transformative perspective on women, while feminism diminishes their worth to mere human-production factories.
Concluding her remarks, Alamolhoda reiterated that Islam’s empowering view of women is what enables them to become symbols of resistance and identity. She expressed hope that with the support of university faculty and the women’s movement, women’s roles in this regard would be fulfilled effectively.
