A report submitted to the Knesset’s Special Committee for Foreign Workers has revealed that out of 654 Thai female workers surveyed in Israel’s agricultural sector, every single one reported having been sexually assaulted.
A new report presented to the Israeli Knesset’s Special Committee on Foreign Workers has uncovered a horrifying reality: all 654 surveyed Thai women working in Israel’s agricultural sector stated they had been sexually assaulted.
The report emphasized that this shocking figure highlights the severity of the crisis and the neglect of these workers’ rights. Despite this, the Israeli government has yet to establish a safe and effective mechanism for these victims to file complaints. A representative from Israel’s Ministry of Labor admitted that the current structures are inadequate for handling the complaints of these migrants.
