During the Asian Table Tennis Confederation meeting, held concurrently with the Asian Championships in Kazakhstan, four Iranians were appointed as full members to the Confederation’s committees. Notably, two of these individuals were appointed as chairs of six key committees.

Specifically, Fatemeh Keyvani was reappointed as the chair of the Gender Equality Committee for another four years. Sima Limouchi was appointed as the chair of the newly established Asian Para Table Tennis Committee. Mehrdad Babadivand was selected as a full member of the Coaches and Youth Committee of the Asian Confederation, while Simin Rezaei secured a seat on the Referees Committee.

The Asian Confederation comprises six committees: Coaches and Youth, Referees, Gender Equality, Public Relations, Education and Training, and the newly established Para Table Tennis Committee. With four representatives on these committees, Iran is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future decisions of the Asian Table Tennis Confederation.

This marks the first time that four representatives from Iran have held positions on the six committees of the Asian Confederation, and it is particularly noteworthy that two of these representatives are Iranian women who have been appointed as chairs of continental committees.
