According to a report by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the one-month-old infant passed away on Monday morning in Deir al-Balah despite being transferred to the al-Shifa Hospital in central Gaza.

The father of the infants mentioned that his family had moved from northern Gaza to the south in search of safety from the cold and hunger. However, Jumaa died due to the cold, and his twin brother remains in critical condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
With these two recent deaths, the number of infants who have died in recent days due to the severe cold has now risen to six. The names of the deceased infants are: Sila al-Faseeh (14 days old), Ali Hassan Azzam (4 days old), Ali Issam Saqr (23 days old), Aisha al-Qassas (21 days old), Jumaa and Ali al-Batran (30 days old twins).
