The “One Ummah” poetry night, hosted by the HindIran International Group in Iran and curated by Seyed Masoud Alavi-Tabar, brought together poets and cultural figures from countries across the Persianate world to celebrate unity, resistance, and shared identity.
A Kashmiri Voice in Support of Iran
Seyed Mohammad-Reza Saberi Kargili, a Persian-language poet and university professor from Kashmir, India, opened the evening by addressing Iran’s response to recent Israeli aggression.
“Today, Iran is moving along the right path of history, and we are truly confident that this free nation has a bright future ahead and will play a powerful role in both the region and the world,” he stated.
Referring to Iran’s stance during the recent 12-day war, he added:
“The Iranian people showed that their primary weapon is faith and loyalty to the leadership. As Imam Khomeini (RA) said: ‘Support the Guardianship of the Jurist so this country remains unharmed.’ Anyone who loves their homeland must support this strong pillar.”
Global Resonance of Iran’s Response
Saberi Kargili emphasized how Iran’s firm response to Israeli crimes gave hope to people around the world.
“Those across the globe who were exhausted by the Zionist regime’s oppression and devastated by the harrowing images of murdered children found renewed strength in Iran’s decisive stance.”
He noted that this moment of resistance sparked a new wave of solidarity among Muslims, freedom-seekers, and defenders of the oppressed—not only within Iran but worldwide.
“This kind of unity could not have been achieved by a thousand cultural projects alone. But the reckless attacks of a criminal enemy served to strengthen these bonds and amplify the unprecedented popularity of Iran’s Supreme Leader. His wise and strategic leadership has multiplied the hope and trust of people around the world.”
Devotion from the Himalayas
Saberi continued:
“Countless and unprecedented vows made by people in our region—the northernmost point of India, in the Himalayas—for the health of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution are but a small reflection of the depth of people’s devotion to the leadership. This bond, rooted in faith, sincerity, and the Leader’s foresight, grows stronger with each passing day.”
From Pakistan: Standing with Iran
Dr. Uzma Zarrin Naziya, poet and professor at the University of Lahore, Pakistan, added:
“The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution raised the cry of truth and the call of Haydar, as the brave Alawis of Iran stood tall against the greatest tyrants of the world and raised the banner of Islam with honor at the summit of the globe.”
She concluded with a message of solidarity:
“We Pakistanis have always stood beside Iran and its people, and we continue to do so. We wholeheartedly wish for the pride and glory of this dear nation and sincerely pray to God for the health of its great Leader. Our hearts beat with love for this country.”
