Iran’s Elham Salehi has been crowned world champion at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, India. Competing on the fifth day of the championships, Salehi opened with throws of 16.82 m, 16.51 m, and 16.13 m. Her fourth and sixth attempts were fouls, but she delivered when it mattered most. On her fifth attempt, she launched the javelin to 17.06 m, securing the gold medal and the world title.
